Pictures from Venezuela and Trinidad

Statue on an intersection in Puerto la Cruz.

Morning Light with its new sail covers and dodger (spray hood).

The kayak as it is tied when going to sea. Even though I now have a dinghy I will keep the kayak as well.
It is fun take for a little cruise around, and easily launched and stored (as opposed to putting launching/storing
the dinghy, which takes at least an hour).

The island of Margerita from a sea, looking towards Porlamar.

The church in El Valle de Virgin de Spiritu Sancti. Little town up in the hills above Porlamar with a yearly procession
since the virgin is the protector of the fishermen.

Looking down on the village of El Valle.

Thunderstorm moving in.

Clouds at sunset north of Los Testigos.

Sunrise when approaching Trinidad from the west. Not how smooth the sea is, the was a strong counter current and no wind.

Tide rip through the channel of the Bocas.

Looking back across the Bocas to the Peninsula de Paria.

View on San Fernando (and Vistabella) from my current anchorage.

All of your hard work is making S/V Morning Light look really shipshape!

Keep the photos coming. This is a virtual Caribbean cruise.

    Hey guppekop,

    Groetjes,
    Michel Spierenburg.

    Dear all,

We just received an e-mail from Frank. He is in Grenada at the moment – still working in a way (installed a computer for the neighboring boat, so could use their internet). Everything is fine, the surroundings are nice. Probably he will do some island hopping to the north.

    Groet, Maria

    Hey Spier!

    Groeten,

    Frank
