Merry Christmas

Don’t know about where you are at, but no snow around here. It started raining yesterday afternoon and overnight the wind picked up a little bit, but the temperatures are still mild (about 15C or so?).

Did some unpacking yesterday, had a quick check about the bike’s place. I think I can fit it in there, just need to decide if the bike gets the port side of the V-birth or me. Went to the store for groceries and talked to one of the other boaters here. Turns out there is a tradition to have a pot lunch here at the marina at 1 on Christmas day. Not exactly something I was looking for, but I plan on makeing a Tabouli salad and show up.

Still looking around the boat and wondering about which project should be next.
I could make some boards in a little hanging closet, that would give me better storage.
Then, there is the stancheon that still needs to be welded, I could take the whole stern pulput off and bring it somewhere to be welded. This would be the cheapest solution by far. But, it is for sure the most time consuming: I will have to get all 4 stancheons loose. They can only be reached from below (means I need to empty both lockers). And I need to get the antenna’s off, last time I tried that I bent my allen wrench, so I probably need to saw those off. And the stern lights wire runs through the pulpit as well. So, taking it off is probably a full day of work.
The coamings for the hatches still need to be put it, though I plan on leaving them out a little longer. That way I can see if the hatches themselves are waterproof or not.
Also the shower walls and floor still need to be re-caulked.

That is just what comes to mind right now, I am sure there is more if I walk around the boat for a few minutes.

While browsing this morning, I ran into this chat with Jason Sager. The sweat bands came in last week, have to put them to use and post a picture.
