On towards Solomon Islands

With the cyclone season upon us, the stay in Luganville had taken a little too long (due to spending a lot of time trying to find and order a satellite phone) for allowing one more stop in Vanuatu.  So, went by the offices, paid my dues, got all the stamps, and will be leaving tomorrow morning for Honiara, Solomon Islands.

It has been raining today (that always coincides with a cruise ship arrival, funny how that works), but just not hard enough to collect a lot of water in the water tanks.  There is little to no wind in the forecast, I think that is probably a seasonal thing for this area, so the 700 mile trip can take between one and two weeks.

Hi Frank, as a person who usually has people reading and living vicariously through my meager adventures, its awesome to now be living vicariously through yours. My wife and I were reading and thinking…”where are exactly are the Solomon Islands?” and then…”holy @*W#$%! you sailed across the Pacific.”

Hope to see you sometime soon,
