Underway

After the last shopping for vegetables and a little water run we were back on board at 9:30. Did some final organizing inside and outside and brought dinghy and outboard on deck. Anchor was up at 11:15 and by 11:45 were doing 7 knots under just the small genoa and turned the engine.
Since then we have had a variety of circumstances. We went downwind for a while with both head sails, motor sailed for a bit, and played with the settings of the autopilot to avoid it from steering all the time (that is a work in progress for now). The windvane must not have been used for a while, we will have to do some greasing and oiling on that. What is really nice is that Magnet sails well in light winds (large sail area) and it really fun to balance the sails so you can lock the wheel and let her find her own course.
It is now a quarter to nine and we are 36 miles from Ao Chalong (Phuket). Moving nicely at about 4 knots.
