The 3rd day in London, we decided to go to the British Museum. After visiting so many museum with the Egyptian History, it was about time for me to visit the real Rosetta Stone!!!
We start our journey by checking out of the hotel since and left our luggage at Liverpool Street so we could walk around without carrying heavy backpack.
It was a beautiful day in London town, when the sky was blue and the sun decided to shine! A rare occasion in winter for sure.
After Liverpool Street, we then take the tube to St. Paul’s Station. We got off the tube and walk to the famous, St. Paul’s Cathedral.
The Cathedral was huge and it was so beautiful!
To chose just 5 photos is a challenge because I took at least hundreds of them and I can’t possibly put all of them on here!!! Arrggghhhh…. And also this is the time I wish I had those super wide angle camera with panoramic functions!!
After enjoying the Cathedral’s view, we then go to the Millennium Bridge. It is a bridge made just for pedestrian. No cyclist are allowed on the bridge.
Side track story: Speaking of cyclist, in Holland, everyone is cycling, even old people and also children. In London, we notice that its a trend or it’s a ‘thing’ or hype or whatever you call it.
View from the Millennium Bridge.
We then took a tube to Trafalgar Square. It was a very nice square and also full of tourist! The good weather made everyone came out too I suppose.
We decided to go to the Birtish Museum not in the morning was because, we didn’t know how long will the beautiful weather last. The entrance fee for the British Museum was also free. So when we arrive the British Museum, there were already lots of people outside the museum just chilling and also inside the museum!
The Rosetta Stone was not hard to find. The museum was very big and there are lots of exhibition going on.
Enjoy the photos in the museum.
After the British Museum, we went to the last place that we want to visit for the day which was the Piccadilly Circus. It is a big space in a road junction which is famous because of all the video display of neon lights.
After our visit to the Piccadilly Circus, then we went and have our last English beer and had our dinner before going to the airport.
All in all, it was a great visit and I enjoyed myself very much and I have never been so tired before!!
